Latin I Hot Tips

Recommended Posts

This is the best advice I've received as of recent about how to teach the Dative case. Forget teaching it as the IO case, Dative of Reference, Dative with special verbs and adjectives, etc. You can add those in later as need arises. If you simply teach it as the receptive case you will watch the light bulbs switch on in your students' heads. I wish I'd known to simplify it in this manner when I started teaching Latin years ago.

Anyone else have a hot tip? I'd love to hear.
