We are in the process of retooling our disciplinary policy. When we were small, it worked to deal with each child on a case by case basis, and a schoolwide policy per se was not needed. We are now large enough that we need a more formal disciplinary policy (though one that still includes addressing the needs of the individual child).
If you can share your school's policy with me, that would be helpful.
If you have not seen it yet, it is worth viewing this 10 minute video featuring ten heads of school discussing their approach to discipline: https://www.classicalu.com/course/school-discipline/
We're always in the process of revising our policies, but our parent-student handbook, which provides some information on them, is accessible through our website here: https://www.carychristianschool.org/current-families/parent-resources/
